SUBCONSCIOUS MIND ASSOCIATION REMOVAL TECHNIQUE (S.M.A.R.T.)
S.M.A.R.T. (or the Subconscious Mind Association Removal Technique) is actually a process.Stress is a reaction from the Subconscious Mind and is part of the “fight-or-flight” or fear response - the way the mind and body react to protect us from harm.Unfortunately for us, the Subconscious Mind, initiates the stress response real or imagined factors. It can’t tell the difference. In today’s world – with uncountable stress triggers – the stress response becomes chronic and the effect on the functions of our mind and body are potentially devastating.Under chronic unrelenting stress our bodies are subject to more rapid aging and disease.
The Subconscious Mind deals with “associations”.These associations may be harmless habits or may become automatic and compulsive, as in an addiction or Obsessive-Compulsive disorder. Just as the triggers of stress can become Subconsciously “associated” with physiological reactions in the body, so to can thoughts, emotions, feelings and beliefs (past and present) become associated with chronic physiological or pathological responses. This is the way in which our minds contribute to our disease process. Thought patterns (attitudes and beliefs), may be the result the Subconscious Mind acting automatically within an emotionally-created reaction loop or holding pattern - when an emotionally-charged event becomes an emotionally-charged memory. The emotionally – charged memory becomes bonded to a physiological stress response. The memory, the emotion associated with the event or the interpretation of the event (I could be hurt if…) can all trigger the physiological stress response.
The Subconscious Mind is not rational or logical. It may surprise you to learn that anxiety and depression are reactions to a real or perceived (illusionary) threat and are meant to be of benefit to you.To the anxious person, it doesn’t feel that way, however.Even more surprising are the subconscious beliefs that appear to be linked to the automatic creation of disease e.g., I need to be sick to feel loved. In this case, “feeling loved” is linked to being sick. Please understand that this is NOT a Conscious Mind decision. No one consciously wants to be sick.It is a Subconscious, and, therefore, irrationally-createed association.
The only way that the Mind can be free of such associations is to break apart these associations and re-instruct the Subconscious Mind to more desired responses. The goal of the S.M.A.R.T. process is precisely this – to remove automatic associations that are physiologically active and potentially affecting the body and mind state of the individual. The complete S.M.A.R.T. process involves A.S.E.R.T./NLP, Time Line Therapy, Hypnalysis with Bio-Medical Hypnosis (see above).
